January 31, 2018, the Key Laboratory for special functional materials (LAB) held the 2017 annual commendation and symposium conference in report hall on the second floor. The leadership, teachers and students of the LAB attend. This conference is aimed at commending the advanced, setting up models, summarizing 2017, and layout 2018.

The conference was presided by Zhang Lin, the party secretary of key scientific research institutions. He pointed out that in the past year, schools and laboratories experienced some "big things". The school has entered the construction team of "two first-class" colleges and universities. The LAB has approved for high efficiency display and lighting technology national and local joint engineering research center. In 2017, the achievements are extraordinary. In 2018, we should work together to create a more brilliant future.

Du Zuliang, executive deputy director of the LAB, made the 2017 annual work report. From the aspects of organization construction, team building, platform construction, planning and innovation, talent exchange and scientific research achievements, he summarized the work of the LAB in 2017. He pointed out that 2017 can be summed up with "brilliant". The achievements are the result of concerted efforts of all the teachers and students. In 2018, all teachers and students should seize the favorable opportunity for the development of the LAB, build up a dream and strive to achieve greater achievements. In 2018, we should "go all out and create more brilliant"!

Hu Binbin, deputy director of the LAB, read out the annual LAB commendation awards and the list of commendation personnel of 2017. The members of theleadership awarded honorary certificates and bonuses to 20 members, including outstanding individuals of scientific research (teachers), Zhang Jian, Kou Dongxing and Wang Shujie; outstanding individuals of management, Kong Lingang, Liu Bing and Wang Aqiang; outstanding graduate students, Shang Wanyu, Chen Xiaoyan, Jin Ranran, Liu Xueping, Li Zhaohan and Yang Xiaoyun; outstanding graduate cadres, Wang Gaoyang, Liang Dong, Ren Xitong; excellent propagandists, Fu Junjie, Ma Ming, Tao Yuanfang, Suo Huan and Wang Xiao.

In the symposium stage, the leaders of QLED platform, the photovoltaic platform, the micro nano device platform as well as the research groups leaders summarized the achievements of 2017, including personnel training, project declaration, scientific research progress. The work plan of each platforms and research groups in 2018 were also reported. All the teachers and students listened carefully to the reports of professors, and held warm discussions and wonderful comments.
