Prof. Zuliang Du, Ph.D., doctoral supervisor, was born in July 1966. Currently, Prof. Du is the Deputy Director of Administration of Key Laboratory for Special Function Materials of Ministry of Education (MOE). He obtained Mater and Doctor's at Jilin University in 1991 and 1999, respectively. He has many titles, including Central Plains Scholar, Deputy director of professional committee of China ordered molecular membrane, New Century Excellent Talents of MOE, Leader of the innovation team of MOE, the expert enjoying the special government special allowance, outstanding expert of Henan province, and the training target of the cross century academic and technical leaders in Henan province. He has trained more than 100 graduate students and doctoral students. He has successively undertaken more than 10 national-level scientific research projects, including State Key Basic Research "973" Plan of China, National high-tech "863" plan, Major Nano Research Plan of National Natural Science Foundation, the National Natural Science Foundation Project, New Century Excellent Talent Project of MOE and the Cultivation Fund of the Key Scientific and Technical Innovation Project of MOE. Moreover, he  obtained more than 10 provincial and ministerial level projects, encompassing Innovating Talent Fund, and Outstanding Youth Cultivation Talent Fund of Henan Province. In addition, He published more than 200 SCI publications, 2 books (chapter), 7 authentication results, and 24 invention patents (14 authorized).

His professional direction is condensed matter physics and materials, and mainly focused on the nanostructure materials and devices, photovoltaic materials and molecular assembly. Concretely, his academic achievements are as follows: Develop a nanostructure construction technology based on molecular assembly and establish a new method for the synthesis of double template biomimetic mineralized; Develop nano devices based on one-dimensional nanostructures and elucidate the photoelectric transport model of controlled surface states of one-dimensional nanomaterials; Propose a variety of methods to control the photoelectric transport and construct the photoelectric nano devices based on the surface Schottky barrier; Discover and clarify the photoelectric enhancement of the micrometer/nanoscale ordered structure, realize efficient photoelectric enhancement by using the multi-scale ordered structure, and thus open up a new approach to improve the efficiency of the thin film solar cell.
