Chem. Mater.: Professor Linsong Li’s group published a research on high-performance light-emitting diodes based on ZnCdSe/ZnS core/shell quantum dots with different shell thickness

Recently, Professor Lin Song Li and Huaibin Shen published a research on high-performance quantum-dot light-emitting diodes (QD-LEDs) in Journal of Chemistry of Materials.Article link:https://pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/acs.chemmater.8b00183

In this research, a series of ZnCdSe-based core/shell QDs were precisely synthesized by a “low-temperature injection and high-temperature growth” method. By continuously increasing the shell thickness, all of the PL decay dynamics of ZnCdSe/xZnS (xstands for the QDs withxmonolayers ZnS shell) core/shell QDs solution and the close-packed film are single exponential, and the ZnCdSe/(2−20)ZnS core/shell QDs are nonblinking. QLEDs have been fabricated with such ZnCdSe/ZnS core/shell QDs and the highest EQE of∼17% has been reached successfully based on ZnCdSe/10ZnS core/shell QDs.
